Abbas
Born a photographer, Abbas is an Iranian transplanted to Paris. He has dedicated himself to documenting the political and social life of societies in conflict. In his major work since 1970 he has covered wars and revolutions in Biafra, Bangladesh, Northern Ireland, Vietnam, the Middle East, Chile, Cuba, and South Africa during apartheid.
A member of Sipa from 1971 to 1973, then of Gamma from 1974 to 1980, Abbas joined Magnum Photos in 1981 and became a member in 1985.

I like this photo because he shows all the discrimination in one frame.This has the perfect composition. He shows the social level of peoples.

I like this picture because of its mystery, the fishman look at the unknown place.
LITHUANIA. Vilnius. 1991. The body of a young Lithuanian man killed by Soviet troops.
I like this picture because it shows sadness as well as it can. All the people are in this picture are not clear except Mother and Son.
MYANMAR. Mandalay. At dawn a monk goes begging for alms.
It is so simple and lights show his sanctity.
